PURPOSE: To provide the forming slide mechanism having highly precise and stable forming position at forming with abutting a forming tool on a wire rod feeded out.
CONSTITUTION: A slant surface 21a is arranged at the front edge of a slider 17 moving forward/backward by a cam 12 on a slide platform 16. A locker arm 27 is pivotally supported on a supporting shaft 28, which is adjustable for position of the slider 17 to a quill 2 by a screw at opposite side, a forming tool 33 is installed at the slider side of the locker arm 27, bringing a roller 32 of locker arm end into constant contact with the slant surface. By forwarding of the slider 17 by the cam 12, the distance between the forming surface of the forming tool 33 and the front end of the quill 2 is varied from small to large so as to form R part of the cross bar of E type hook spring.
