PURPOSE: To facilitate the forming of side wall of the vane with a high accuracy by a method wherein an anti-abrasion film is coated previously within the range of thickness of the vane after forming so as not to make the film exist on the side wall to be ground later.

CONSTITUTION: The vane 10 is consisting of the material 11 of the vane before forming and the anti-abrasion film 12, coated on the side of the sliding surface of the material 11 of the vane. The anti-abrasion film 12 is coated within the range of thickness W of the material 11 after forming. The vane 10 is formed by cutting and grinding the side walls 13, 13 of the material 11 and forming the thickness W so as to be fitted to the width of a vane groove. The anti-abrasion film 12 will never bother the grinding of the side walls 13, 13 and the grinding work may be facilitated. The accuracy of the thickness W may be increased and the high-quality vane 10 may be obtained.
