Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable the efficient manufacturing of a thin sheet ring by pressing a thin blank against a male die with a circular cross section, forming the blank into a circular-arc form with a relative position fixed between the male die and the blank and thereby dispensing with the positional adjusting operation of the blank.
CONSTITUTION: A thin blank is fed to a positioning table 39 piece by piece from a blank stocker by means of a blank feeding head 40 through the operation of a blank feeding device. An air cylinder is operated, and the blank is pressed and fed onto a lower femable die 4. The blank is pushed through the center of the lower female die 4 and protruded by the operation of the cylinder; the blank is pressed on a male die 2, held between the lower female die 4 and the male die 2 by the elevation of a movable base and formed in a U-shape. A cylinder 24 is operated, and a holding lug 22 is turned around a pin 23, pressing near the end part of the blank on a groove and correcting the pointed state of the end part remaining linearly; and forming is performed so that all parts of the blank are rounded.
