To provide a forming wire for paper making, capable of enhancing abrasion resistance and rigidity to improve shape stability.

In the forming wire, at least a part of weft in the lowest layer comprises a polyamide fiber containing an inorganic whisker material containing ≤20 mass% calcium silicate whisker having 5-35 aspect ratio and/or a polyester fiber containing the inorganic whisker material. At least a part of the polyamide fiber containing the inorganic whisker material and/or the polyester fiber containing the inorganic whisker material are coated with a thermosetting resin such as an epoxy resin or the like. The forming wire is easily oriented in drawing and its rotation is suppressed, so releasing from matrix after spinning is small and its abrasion resistance together with rigidity is improved, thus, the shape stability is improved.
