Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce noise and to make switching operation smoooth by supporting a pair of right and left bevel gears at the inside peripheries thereof by a connecting rod extending therethrough. CONSTITUTION:A connecting rod 25 extending through a pair of bevel gears 19, 20 is rotatably supported by the pair of bevel gears 19, 20. There are provided forward and reverse shifters 29, 30 mounted on left and right end poritons of the connecting rod 25 slidably in the axial direction, and the shifters 29, 30 are interconnected for conjoint movement by a coupling member 31 extending inside the connecting rod 25. This sturcture provides a stable support for the bevel gears 19, 20, resulting in reduced noise and smooth switching operation.
