To provide a new structure of a foundation capable of being easily restored even when the foundation is inclined due to earthquakes and the like.
The present invention relates to a foundation of a building, which includes two layers, that is to say, upper and lower foundations, in which a void space across both the layers is opened toward an outer surface on outer edge contact surfaces of the two layers, and in which the upper foundation can be displaced upward while positions of the upper and lower foundations are fixed not to be displaced from each other in a horizontal direction. The foundation includes the two layers to enable the restoration of the inclination of the foundation; the horizontal displacement of the foundation including the two layers is prevented; and the upper layer can be displaced.
