PURPOSE: To enhance the efficiency of the foundation improvement works by inserting a pressurizing device including an expandable bag body around the outer periphery of a hollow core member in a drilled hole formed in the foundation, filling and expanding the bag body with high pressure water, and pressurizing and compacting the peripheral foundation of the drilled hole, thereby filling the drilled hole with the filling material.
CONSTITUTION: A bag body 2 made of rubber or the like having a section of a doughnut shape is attached around the outer periphery of a hollow core member 1 such as a steel pipe. The bag body 2 is then is fixed to the core member 1 in such a manner as interposing a ring-shaped fixing rubber 4 between one end of the bag body 4 and the extreme end portion of the core pipe 1, thus fixing the bag body 4 with the flange of the core pipe 1 side by means of bolts 6. Nozzles A and B are provided for the purpose of feeding a filling material 10 into the core member 1, and of injecting high pressure water 9 into the bag body 2, respectively. The bag body 2 is expanded by injecting high pressure water therein through a nozzle B to thereby pressurize the peripheral foundation. After the end of the pressurizing, the device is pulled up while the filling material 10 being injected into the core material 2, and at the same time the water 9 in the bag body 2 is discharged. With this arrangement, it is possible to enhance the efficiency of the foundation improvement works without the possibility of the breaking of the hollow wall.
