To provide a foundation pile of which spiral blade has high strength against pulling-out of it from a ground and can be easily manufactured, and a method of manufacturing the foundation pile.
A foundation pile 30 for a structure installed on a ground is provided with spiral blades 32 screwed into the ground on the outer peripheral surface of a portion intruding into the ground, and the structure is arranged on and fixed to a pile head exposed on a ground surface. The spiral blades 32 are wound around the outer peripheral surface of the portion with the number of turns more than one, and each of the spiral blades 32 is formed by arranging a plurality of piece members 33 made of sheet metal in a spiral direction. When viewing the piece member 33 in a pile axial direction in a cross section orthogonal to a pile axis line, a peripheral length of each piece member 33 in the pile circumferential direction is the same length as that of one turn or nearly one turn of the portion or shorter than one turn of the portion.
