To provide a four-row tapered roller bearing with vertexes of contact angles outside of the bearing, which four-row tapered roller bearing can reduce a cost by reducing the number of components.
The four-row tapered roller bearing 10 with the vertexes of the contact angles outside of the bearing comprises an outer race unit 13 having a pair of double-row outer races 11, 12 to be arranged side by side with each other axially, a double-row inner race 14, an inner race unit 17 having a pair of single-row inner races 15, 16 to be arranged on both sides of the double-row inner race 14 axially, and a plurality of four-row tapered rollers 18 arranged between the four-row raceway surfaces of the four-row outer race arranged on a pair of the double-row outer races 11, 12 and the four-row inner raceway surfaces arranged on the double-row inner race 14 and a pair of the single-row inner races 15, 16 so as to roll circumferentially, wherein the two-row tapered rollers 18 arranged on both ends axially are arranged so as to have the vertexes of the contact angles outside of the bearing. Among the end faces 11c, 12c of the double-row outer races 11, 12 facing each other axially and the end faces 14c, 15b and 14d, 16b of the double-row inner race 14 and the single-row inner races 15, 16 facing each other axially, at least a pair of the end faces is brought into direct contact with each other.
