Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a ratio of a driven wheel side speed reduction ratio to a driving wheel side speed reduction ratio to a wider range so as to expand a yaw rate control area by providing a control coupling controlling a transmission ratio of driving force and setting a speed reduction ratio of a driven wheel to be lower than that of a driving wheel. SOLUTION: In the subject four-wheel drive vehicle based on front two-wheel drive, a control coupling 20 is arranged in a driving force transmission passage to the rear wheel side. An input side/output side gear ratio in a front differential 16a is set to be 1, and a gear ratio of the input side to that of the output side in a rear differential 16b is set to be 0.97-0.85. Therefore, a ratio of a driven wheel side speed reduction ratio to a driving wheel side speed reduction ratio is set to be from 0:1 to N:1 (N=0-1.15). As a result, a traveling condition can be changed widely from a front wheel two-wheel drive traveling condition to a traveling condition close to a rear wheel two-wheel drive traveling condition, and a yaw rate can be controlled with higher precision.
