Abstract:

To precipitate metals per component in the process where molten metal discharged from a plasma melting furnace is being cooled.

A molten metal discharged from a plasma melting furnace is received into a crucible 12, and the crucible 12 is moved downward in a cylindrical body 10. On the way of the movement, temperature zones TZ1, TZ2, ..., TZn where respective temperatures are held at T2, T3, ..., Tn in a decreasing order with the highest temperature T1 as a start point are set, wherein the temperatures T2, T3, ..., Tn are the crystallization temperatures of metals. The crucible 12 charged with the molten metal material M1 subjected to the plasma melting is successively transferred into the temperature zones to precipitate specified metals per temperature zone, so that the metals are fractionally recovered from the layers of the solidified metal ingots.
