Abstract:
To suppress progress variation of a crack in fracturing a connecting rod.SOLUTION: A fracture method of a connecting rod having a rod body 11 and a large end part 12 formed into a ring shape at one end part of the rod body 11, comprises: a grooving step of making grooves 12a, 12b in the large end part 12; and a vibration load step of loading vibration of a resonance frequency to the grooves 12a, 12 to generate a crack, and then progress the crack. In the vibration load step, an amplitude of the vibration is attenuated according to a time where vibration is being loaded, then vibration load control of making burden on the crack constant is performed, and the large end part 12 is fatigued and broken.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
