Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely change the width and the height of a metal plate to be worked by making a pair of bearings pivotally supporting upper and lower rolls slidable in the width direction of a device main body.
SOLUTION: By moving the sliding part 5 of bearing bodies 4 along a guide rail 17, it is set so that the interval between the left and the right rolls 20 and 21 becomes a bending dimension. By rotating the upper and the lower rolls 20 and 21, a plate-shaped stock is sent. The both side parts of the plate- shaped stock are slightly bent by the upper and the lower rolls 20 and 21 near an inlet side where inclined parts 22 are formed most gently. As the plate-shaped stock proceeds to an inner side, the both side parts of the plate-shaped stock are gradually raised by the upper and the lower rolls 20 and 21 whose angles of the inclined parts 22 are steep. Finally, the both side parts of the plate-shaped stock are raised at an angle of 90°. The width of a U-shaped and plate-shaped stock can be changed.
