To obtain a highly sterile freeze-drying container in a manufacturing process by constituting a lid member of a filter impermeable to bacteria.
The freeze-drying container 1 has a lid member 4 comprising a filter 5 impervious to bacteria. During a manufacturing process, a cup member 3 is sterilely filled with solution of antibiotic 2 in a highly clean sterile chamber. Then the lid member 4 which has gone through dust-free and sterilization treatment is attached to an opening 3A of a cup-like member 3 by a peelable heat seal and frozen in a freeze-drying device, so that moisture is vaporized and removed by reduced pressure. Steam gas comes out into the device through the filter 5. Since the freeze-drying container 1 has its solution free from direct contact with an atmosphere during freezing and drying of the solution, sterile or dust-free control during its operation period is extremely easy. Since the internal steam gas is discharged through the filter 5 during drying, there is no problem in drying.
