To provide a freezer that always operates with maximum efficiency regardless of aging of a load or a heat exchanger.
A freezer includes a plurality of freezing machines for cooling an object stored in a refrigeration warehouse 1, an inside temperature sensor 51 for detecting inside temperature of the refrigeration warehouse 1, and a control controller 50 for controlling the freezing machines. The control controller 50 calculates condensation temperature and evaporation temperature of the freezing machine, and calculates operation characteristic information indicating relationship of performance factor and cooling ability of the freezing machine, on the basis of the calculated condensation temperature and evaporation temperature, to control the plurality of freezing machines on the basis of a detection value of the inside temperature sensor and operation characteristic information.
