Abstract:
To provide a freezer effectively utilizing exhaust heat from a condenser to efficiently evaporate drain water absorbed in an evaporation accelerating member.SOLUTION: A machine chamber mounted on the lower part of a storage chamber is provided with a condenser, a compressor, a blower and a drain water evaporation device 50 processing drain water generated in a cooler in the storage chamber, and includes: a discharge port discharging the drain water exceeding a prescribed water level to a second evaporation pan 52 disposed below while a first evaporation pan 51 receives the drain water; and first evaporation acceleration members 55a, 55b absorbing and evaporating the drain water. The second evaporation pan 52 includes a second evaporation accelerating member 55c absorbing and evaporating the accumulated drain water. The width of the second evaporation accelerating member 55c is formed so that the width thereof is almost equal to the width of the condenser viewed from an air flow direction in the machine chamber. The drain water evaporation device 50 is disposed on the lee of the condenser in the air flow direction in the machine chamber. A refrigerant pipe connecting the compressor and the condenser is disposed in the vicinity of the bottom surface of the first evaporation pan 51.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
