To effectually absorb water in a cycle by absorbing water in a circulation refrigerant by providing a receiver between an indoor heat exchanger and a throttle device, and further providing a dryer in the receiver.
Upon heating part of a refrigerant entering from an upper end of a receiver 5 goes out of the receiver 5 after passage through a pipe 10, while a remaining part of the same remains in a space between the pipe 10 and the receiver 5. When a liquid level in the receiver 5 becomes higher than the end surface of the pipe 10 the refrigerant is not further stored, and goes out. As a result, only an excess refrigerant fraction is stored in the receiver 5. Further, since there is a dryer 8 on a bottom of the accumulated refrigerant, excess water in the refrigerant is adsorbed. Then, the accumulated refrigerant is always replaced for new one owing to an inflow thereof into the receiver 5 and an outflow thereof from the end surface of the pipe 10 so that water in the cycle is effectually absorbed.
