To provide freezing equipment adapted to circulate carbon dioxide as refrigerant, in which a check valve can stably take a opening state without chattering phenomenon even if a rotary compressor is transferred to low-speed operation by inverter control, and normal control can be attained, whereas the check valve is used to prevent temperature rise of an evaporator by counter flow of high-temperature, high-pressure gas from the suction side of the rotary compressor at the time of stoppage of the compressor.
The check valve is set so that a refrigerant inlet (evaporator side) and a refrigerant outlet (compressor side) are located on the upper side and on the lower side, respectively, and a movable valve element contained therein is set to descend by its gravity and open the valve. According to this, during operation of the rotary compressor, the movable valve element in the check valve is moved down by its gravity and the refrigerant pressure to open the valve, and when the compressor is stopped, the movable valve element in the check valve is pushed up by the high-temperature, high-pressure gas pressure to close the valve.
