Abstract:

To separate, collect effectively use palpi while enabling IQF and prevent adhesion of the palpi to a cold air suction port of a cooler to maintain refrigeration capacity of the cooler, in a freezing process of shrimps.

In this freezing method for shrimps for continuously freezing shrimps s while carrying them by a conveyor 2 within a closed space c forming cold air f, the shrimps s are frozen by the cold air f formed to blow from the lower side to the upper side on a conveyor face 13a having multiple net-like thin holes. The palpi h of the shrimps s are broken by a synergistic effect of low temperature brittleness of the frozen shrimps s and collision of the shrimps s with each other by stirring the shrimps s on the conveyor face 13a by the cold air f. The broken palpi h are moved together with the cold air f blown upwardly from the conveyor face 13a. A bent flow part b for declining wind speed of the cold air f blown up from the conveyor face 13a is formed, and the palpi h moved together with the cold air f are separated and dropped from the cold air f in the bent flow part b.
