To provide a freezing preventing valve device which is prevented from being inoperable due to freezing of water in cold times, and to provide a freezing preventing tool which facilitates mounting thereof in an existing washing device or the like, to thereby make the washing device or the like into the valve device with an automatic freezing preventing means.
The freezing preventing device is formed of a valve main body 12, a sleeve 32, and an automatic anti-freezing element 40. The valve main body 12 includes a primary chamber 18 to which flowing water pressure is always applied, and a secondary chamber 20 to which water pressure is applied only when water is discharged. The sleeve 32 is arranged on the valve main body 12, and allows an end of a primary side communication channel 18a communicating with the primary chamber 18, and an end of a secondary side communicating channel 20a communicating with the secondary chamber 20, to be opened in an inner end face thereof. The automatic anti-freezing element 40 is arranged in the sleeve 32, and functions to open/close the valve according to change of an ambient temperature so as to connect the primary side communication channel 18a to the secondary side communication channel 20a or interrupt the former from the latter. In this manner, water flow for preventing freezing is achieved from the primary chamber 18 to the secondary chamber 20.
