Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the resistance due to wind pressure by installing a machine room and a ballast tank onto the stern side of a bow bulkhead and arranging an accommodation space onto the upper deck and reducing the height of a hunnel in the upper part of the stern-part engine room. CONSTITUTION:An accommodation space 1 is arranged onto the stern-side deck of a bow bulkhead (a), and machine room 2 for dividing the accommodation space and a ballast tank 3 are arranged under the deck. A funnel 6 is arranged through an engine casing 5 onto the upper-part deck of a stern engine room 4. Therefore, each height of the accommodation space and the funnel can be reduced in comparison with the conventional constitution, and the resistance due to wind pressure can be reduced.
