Title:
FREQUENCY CONVERTER WHICH TOLERATES NONINTEGER SEGMENTING RATIO PROGRAMMED BY UNIQUE CONTROL WORD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001308702
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To enable heightening a transmission frequency of a basic transmitter and to improve noise performance by performing dividing control of a frequency divider of a phase locked loop with a noninteger value.

A frequency converter is provided with a frequency divider (FRACN), an input port (REG) of a control word value N (1:L) to determine frequency dividing ratio of the frequency divider, and an interface means (INT) to transform the control word value N (1:L) into a first parameter M (1:L-P) and a second parameter k (1:P) for the purpose of making it the noninteger value between the frequency divider and the input port.
