To provide a frequency tracking type receiver which is capable of tracking frequency fluctuations, even if a receiving frequency fluctuates with respect to a center frequency on a large scale.
A coupler C1 turns an input signal IFi into a signal IFi' and supplies it to a frequency/voltage conversion circuit 1. The circuit 1 converts the frequency of the signal IFi' into voltage VF in accordance with a defined relation of frequency to voltage. A coupler C2 turns an intermediate frequency signal IF into a signal IF' and supplies it to a PLL circuit 2. The circuit 2 calculates frequency difference Fp between the frequency Fq of a produced reference signal IS and the frequency F of the signal IF' and outputs it as voltage Vp to an addition circuit 3. The circuit 3 adds the voltage VF to the voltage VP and outputs it as added voltage VCAL. A voltage-controlled oscillator 4 outputs the voltage VCAL as an adjustment signal IFv of a frequency Fv to a mixer 5, based on the defined relation of the frequency and voltage. The mixer 5 calculates a frequency difference F between the frequency Fi of the signal IFi and the frequency of the signal IFv and outputs the signal IF of the difference F.
