Title:
FREQUENCY VARIABILITY SWITCHING RESONANT OSCILLATOR CAPABLE OF DEGRADING NOISE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05251931
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide improved phase noise performance in high power level having desired frequency variability requests a microwave oscillator by switching a low-noise resonator with high Q so that it is interporated or removed from a circuit. CONSTITUTION: This oscillator includes an amplifier 12 with one input and one output and a feedback circuit 14 arranged between the input and output of the amplifier and the feedback circuit includes resonators 34 and a couple of switches 32 and 38. Each switch includes a 1st port and many connectable ports, which are connected to corresponding resonators. The feedback circuit further includes a voltage control phase shifter 22 which is arranged in series with the switches. The oscillator includes a discriminating circuit 16 which supplies a control signal to the voltage control phase shifter in response to a signal from the feedback circuit and degrades low-frequency noise in the oscillator.
