An indicator holder 31 is added to the package of food, and configured to register food information in an IC tag 31c in starting the use of the indicator holder 31, and to, when receiving a freshness information acquisition request with predetermined distribution points, detect the freshness information of food, and to transmits freshness detection result information including the detected freshness information and the holder information. A freshness information management server 10 receives freshness report information acquired by adding distribution path information (IC tag reader ID) showing distribution points to the freshness detection information (for example, packing time freshness detection result to which the ID of the IC tag reader is added) through a communication network 60, and stores the freshness information shown by the received freshness report information as freshness information with distribution points shown by the distribution path information by associating it with the holder information shown by the received freshness report information.
