Abstract:
To provide a simple-structured freshness keeping device for a container which can perform ethylene decomposition and sterilization with small electric power.SOLUTION: A freshness keeping device 20 is provided in a container 10 for storing perishable food 9, and an open space 22 of a device body 21 is opened in an internal space 11a of the container. A plasma generation part 30 is supported by the device body 2. The plasma generation part 30 comprises a pair of electrodes 31, 32 forming a discharge space 35 connected to the open space 22, and a spacer 36 made of an insulating material interposed between the facing surfaces of the electrodes 31, 32 to maintain a distance between the electrodes on the order of micrometers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
