Title:
FRICTION CLUTCH FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3703444
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the smoothness of actuation of a back torque limiter by using a cam ball and a cam slant, and keep the back torque limiter to function correctly by a simple structure in a friction clutch for a vehicle.
SOLUTION: A clutch hub is composed of an output side fixed hub shell 16, and an input side movable hub shell 17 movable in an axial center direction, and the back torque limiter comprising the cam ball 30 and a cam groove 32 is provided between both hub shells 16 and 17. Diametric lock grooves 41 and 42 are formed in end surfaces of the hub shells 16 and 17, lock pins 44 are engaged with both lock grooves 41 and 42, and circumferential recesses 43 are extended at diametric outer end parts of the lock grooves 41. The hub shells 16 and 17 are locked to each other by the lock pins 44 when a prescribed rotation speed is not exceeded, and the lock pins 44 move in the recesses 43 when the prescribed rotation speed is exceeded to make both hub shells 16 and 17 relatively rotate as a limiter release mechanism.
