To provide a friction clutch composable of even a clutch disc assembly provided with a metal disc having a disc plate being a core plate and even a clutch disc assembly provided with a carbon disc requiring no disk plate being the core plate, without changing a dimension between a flywheel and a clutch cover.
A clutch disc 9 is composed of a boss part slidingly fitted to a hub 10, and a frictionally engaging part interposed between the flywheel 1 and a pressure plate 7. The frictionally engaging part of the clutch disc 9 is formed into a frictionally engaging part having the same plate thickness dimension as a frictionally engaging part of the metal disc. A plate thickness dimension of the boss part of the clutch disc 9 is formed larger than a plate thickness dimension of this frictionally engaging part.
