To provide a friction clutch capable of reducing vibration from being generated during transition from a disengaged state to an engaged state, while reducing the energy required for keeping a connected state.
A friction clutch 10 is engaged when a friction force is generated between a friction member 3 and a frictional party member 4 with the same rotation center axis C as an axial center. The friction clutch 10 includes: a hydraulic piston member 50 which receives a hydraulic pressure, moves in an axial direction of the rotation center axis C and pushes the friction member 3 or the frictional party member 4; and a mechanical pushing member 60 which is provided to face the hydraulic piston member 50 across the friction member 3 and the friction opposite member, receives a mechanical force, moves in the axial direction of the rotation center axis C and pushes the friction member 3 or the frictional party member 4.
