To provide a friction driving type trolley conveyor which can make a trolley vertical structure compact, save space for conveyor installation in a horizontally bent region, and certainly convey a conveyed article.
The friction driving type trolley conveyor 10 has guide rollers 12a and 12a and travel wheels 12b and 12b travelling in a hollow conveyance rail 11 along a conveyance line L. The trolley conveyor 10 comprises many conveyance trolleys 12 that carry the conveyed article W and move along the hollow conveyance rail 11, a passive bar 13 for connection pivoted to the rear end pivot section 12f of a precedent conveyance trolley 12 and the front end pivot section 12e of a following conveyance trolley 12 in a bridged state, and a friction driving means 15 for slidably moving the passive bar 13 for connection. The passive bar 13 circumferentially moves in the horizontally bent region of the conveyance line L while projecting from an inner peripheral side slit 11d of the hollow conveyance rail 11, and straightly moves in the hollow conveyance rail 11 in a linear region of the conveyance line L.
