Abstract:
PURPOSE: To allow the friction elements of an automatic transmission to attain each joint capacity as required by improving the friction elements of their own.
CONSTITUTION: In the 'R' range of a manual valve 19, backward pressure inputted from a circuit 19R at the range is supplied not only to the chambers 16 of brakes 35R/B and LR/B but also to chambers 15 through a shuttle valve 20 and actuators 17 and 18, so that the joint capacities of both the brakes are enlarged as required. In the 'D' range of the manual valve 19 however, forward pressure outputted from a circuit 19D in the range, is supplied only to the chambers 15 of both the brakes, so that the joint capacities of these brakes are lessened as required.
