Abstract:
To provide a friction engagement device which can suppress the number of kinds of springs while having functions of a separating spring, a dish plate and a return spring.SOLUTION: A friction engagement device 10 has: a plate group 1 including a plurality of drive plates 1A and a plurality of driven plates 1B which are alternately aligned; a piston 2 for pressing the plate group 1; a first energization member 3 arranged between the plurality of the driven plates 1B; and a second energization member 4 arranged between the plate group 1 and the piston 2. A total energization force of the second energization member 4 is set so as to be more than a total energization force of the first energization member 3 when the friction engagement device 10 is in an engagement state, and to be a value larger than zero being a value which can maintain a clearance between the drive plates 1A and the driven plates 1B at a prescribed value or larger by the first energization member 3 when the friction engagement state 10 is in a release state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
