Abstract:
To provide a method by which a friction force related to a wheel of a railway vehicle is improved.SOLUTION: A friction force improvement device 1 comprises: injectors 10a, 10b which are installed in a railway vehicle traveling with a steel wheel 3 on a rail 5 and inject oxidation suppressing gas to a contact surface 7 between the wheel 3 and the rail 5; and a controller 30 which controls the injectors 10a, 10b to inject the oxidation suppression gas when an injection activation condition determined based on an operation command and/or a traveling situation of the railway vehicle is satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
