Abstract:

To provide a friction material composition and a material using it hardly causing dust and improving work environment, work efficiency.

The friction material composition comprises a fibrous material, a binding material and a friction modifier, and 40-100 mass% of the friction material composition is coated with rubber, which is solid at normal temperature. The friction material is obtained by molding and heating the friction material composition. In particular, a desirable content of the solid rubber is 0.5-15 mass% with respect to 100 mass% of the whole friction material composition.
