Abstract:
To obtain a friction material having excellent wear resistance even under a high surface pressure.
This friction material contains principal component materials comprising a heat-resistant alloy and a bronze, wherein the heat-resistant alloy has a Vickers hardness HV at 873 K of 350 or higher and accounts for 30-50 vol.% of the principal component materials and wherein Sn accounts for 3-12 wt.% of the bronze.
