Abstract:
To provide a friction material composition that can exhibit an excellent wear resistance when high speed braking is repeated, in a friction material composition that does not contain copper or contains a slight amount of copper, a friction member and a friction material which use the friction material composition, and an automobile equipped with the friction member or the friction material.SOLUTION: A friction member having a friction material and a back metal, in which the friction material contains magnesium oxide and titanate, and does not contain copper, or, even if containing copper, contains smaller than 0.5 mass% as a copper element, and the magnesium oxide has a maximum primary particle size of 50 μm or larger.SELECTED DRAWING: None
