In the friction plate type transmission mechanisms 180L, 180R provided with upper stream side friction panels 182L, 182R supported by upper stream side rotation members 181L, 181R, lower stream side friction panels 184L, 184R supported by lower stream side members 183L, 183R, pressing members 186L, 186R and stopper members 187L, 187R, one of upper stream side friction panels 182L', 182R' and/or one of lower stream side friction panels 184L', 184R' which are positioned closest to the stopper members 187L, 187R have external shapes inclined to a plane orthogonal to an axis.
