Abstract:
To provide a friction roller type speed reducer and a speed reducer unit using the same capable of obtaining high transmission efficiency, and further achieving miniaturization and weight saving.SOLUTION: A friction roller type speed reducer 100 includes a loading disc 51 disposed in opposition to an outer end face at an axial outer side of at least one of sun roller elements 35, 37, and a loading cam mechanism 50 having cam grooves formed on each of the outer end face 42 and a one-side end face 52 of the loading disc 51, and rolling elements inserted between opposed cam grooves. It further includes a pressure chamber 61 defined between the one-side end face 52 of the loading disc 51 and the outer end face 42 of the sun roller element 35, and generating axial force for making the sun roller elements 35, 37 approach each other in an axial direction, by a pressure of traction oil charged therein.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
