Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize at least one of restriction of occurrence of side slip and restriction of reduction of a transmitting efficiency between rotating elements in a friction roller type speed reduction machine.SOLUTION: A friction roller type speed reducer 1 comprises, as rotating elements, a sun roller 4, a ring roller 5 arranged outside in a radial direction of the sun roller 4 and a plurality of pinion rollers 6 arranged between the sun roller 4 and the ring roller 5. A contact angle α between the pinion roller 6 and the ring roller 5 is smaller than a contact angle β between the sun roller 4 and the pinion roller 6 and the contact angle α between the pinion roller 6 and the ring roller 5 is larger than 0 degree.
