Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction roller type speed reduction having a high design traction coefficient for developing high transmission efficiency by enabling the prevention of instantaneous gross slip during a fluctuation of torque without causing an instantaneous angular velocity change between two roller elements during the fluctuation of torque.SOLUTION: The friction roller type speed reduction includes a sun roller 13, a ring roller 15, a plurality of intermediate rollers 17, a connection part 45, and a loading cam mechanism 20, the sun roller 13 having a pair of roller elements. It further includes a roller element connection part 61 for supporting the pair of roller elements 21, 23 so as to be relatively movable in the axial direction and relatively non-rotatable, and a rotation support part 57 fo supporting the roller element 21 on an input shaft 11 so as to be relatively non-movable in the axial direction and relatively rotatable.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
