Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction stir welding device capable of normally performing friction stir welding of a work piece without enlarging a device even if size of the work piece is large and welding reaction force in the friction stir welding is large.SOLUTION: A friction stir welding device includes: a frame longer than length of a welding line on which works are welded; a pair of work fastening surface plate disposed on an upper surface of the frame so as to form a gap extending along the welding line between the works; a welding device main body including a friction stir welding tool which is located below the gap and is protruded upward from the gap, a main shaft which has the friction stir welding tool provided on an upper end part and a main shaft rotation driving device which turns the main shaft; a linear guide mechanism which supports the welding device main body freely movably along the gap; and a movement device which moves the welding device main body along the gap. The friction stir welding device further includes an elastomer which supports the friction stir welding tool between the friction stir welding tool and the main shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
