Abstract:
To provide a friction stir tool that has high-temperature strength, is superior in wear resistance at high temperature, and has superior productivity.
The friction stir tool is formed of a Co-based alloy containing a γ-phase representing an Al structure and a γ'-phase representing an L12 structure precipitated in the γ-phase, and characterized in that the γ'-phase is of (Co, X)3(Al, W, Z), and the Co-based alloy contains 30 to 40 at% of Ni, wherein X is mainly Ni, and Z is mainly Cr and Ta.
