Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction transmission belt which can improve quietness and friction resistance.SOLUTION: A friction transmission face of a friction transmission belt 1 is coated with a warp knitted fabric 5 including a water absorptive thread at 30 mass% or higher while setting a wale direction substantially-parallel with a longitudinal direction. The warp knitted fabric further includes a non-water absorptive thread, and a mass ratio of the water absorptive thread and the non-water absorptive thread may be at a degree of former/latter=50/50 to 90/10. The warp knitted fabric may be tricot fabric. The water absorptive fiber may be cellulose-group fiber. The friction transmission face is formed of rubber, and it is preferable that the rubber is not oozed on a surface of the friction transmission face which is coated with the warp knitted fabric.
