To provide a friction transmission belt excellent in adhesive properties such as dynamic adhesiveness and heat resistant adhesiveness against the repeated bending of the friction transmission belt and running under heating conditions around an engine and also excellent in specified performances such as heat resistance, wear resistance, and noise prevention property.
This friction transmission belt is formed by laminating an adhesive rubber layer 3 in which a core 2 is buried along the longitudinal direction of the belt and a compressive rubber layer 5 on each other. Both the adhesive rubber layer 3 and the compressive rubber layer 5 are formed by using a ethylene-α-olefine-diene rubber compound. The core is formed by an adhesive treatment by using a resorcinol-formalin-latex adhesive agent compound containing carboxyl vinyl pyridine latex.
