To improve the lubricating performance while stably supplying the lubricating oil to a friction contact part by providing an oil-containing member so as to contact with at least one of rolling surfaces of a sun roller, an outer ring and a roller arranged between the sun roller and the outer ring.
A friction type multistage roller transmission is formed by arranging each four first and second rollers 13, 14 having a different diameter from each other in a space formed between a sun roller 11 and an outer ring 12 in the peripheral edge direction with an equal space. An annular oil included member 28 is provided in a space between the sun roller 11 and a first roller 13 so as to contact with at least one of the peripheral surface of the sun roller 11 and the small diameter side peripheral surface of the first roller 13. Namely, the oil included member 28 contacts with the peripheral surface of the sun roller 11 at the inner peripheral surface thereof, while contacting with the small diameter side peripheral surface of the first roller 13 at the outer peripheral surface thereof. As the oil-containing member 28, a porous member made of the sintered material and impregnated with the lubricating oil is used.
