To provide a frictional charging device capable of imparting a stable charging at every material independently of the mixing ratio of mixed plastic pieces with regard to the charging generated principally from friction between the mixed plastic pieces and a charging container.

This frictional charging device has a feed port 1 for feeding the mixed plastic pieces and a suction port 2 for sucking gas and taking in the same to the charging container 4 on the upstream side of the charging container 4 which rubs the mixed plastic pieces comprising a plurality of materials with an inner peripheral surface of cylindrical shape of the container and charges the mixed plastic pieces. On the other hand, the frictional charging device has a pneumatic fan 12 for sucking gas and a recovery means 9 for separating the mixed plastic pieces and the gas and recovering the mixed plastic pieces on the downstream side of the charging container 4. Therein, further, the charging container 4 is provided with a helical vane 3 which turns the gas from the suction port 2 into a swirling flow and neutralization means 5a-5g which periodically eliminates the charge of the inner peripheral surface of the charging container.
