Abstract:

To suppress the excessive axial load applied to a bearing and make a bearing long life.

This frictional continuously variable transmission provided with an input axis touched internally by plural cones kept rotatable, an output axis 15 touched externally by the plural cones, a pressing means applying elastic pressing contact force to between the said input/output axes and the plural cones and transmits continuously engine speed between the input/output axes via a revolving of the cones while transmitting the rotation power. In this case among plural rolling bearings 17, 18 bearing rotatably output axis 15 against a housing 16, between the face to face rolling bearings 17, 18 via an elastic body 37, an axial load is applied corresponding with a pre-load by the elastic body 37 to one rolling bearing 18, the axial load corresponding with quantity reduced the pre-load of the elastic body 37 from the axial load F a applying to the output axis 15 to the other rolling bearing 17.
