Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent joining by controlling the deformation of a joint part in the case of joining hollow shaped member or the like by frictional joining.
SOLUTION: Recessed parts are provided in joining parts of the end parts of a hollow shape 31, and end parts 38 of a shaped member 32 are butted against the recessed parts. A plate 36 exists between the recessed part and the recessed part. Butting parts are joined by frictional joining. In such a manner, since the plate 36 exists at the tip end of a rotating tool, this part becomes a member for supporting a force which inserts a rotating body at the time of frictional joining. Thus, the end parts of the shaped member 31, 32 in the butting part are prevented from deforming and excellent joining is obtained.
