To provide a front structure of an automobile, capable of shortening a shock absorbing structure, while preventing complexity of configuration and cost from being increased.
A collision object receiving part 6 generates a first reaction force F1 while a collision surface moves back. The collision object receiving part 6 is provided with a viscous fluid 61 which generates a second reaction force F2 larger than the first reaction force F1 by a retreating stroke X1 shorter than the case of a first width D1 after a contact surface starts retreating by the first reaction force F1, when a lateral contact width of the collision object is a second width D2, which is larger than the first width D1. A front structure is provided with a deformable container 60 housing the viscous fluid 61 and transmitting retreating energy of the collision surface to the viscous fluid 61, a space 62 allowing the viscous fluid 61 to move to the vicinity of the part between the collision object and a crash can 3, and a flow resistance means (the viscous fluid 61, in this case) generating a resisting force when the viscous fluid 61 moves.
