PURPOSE: To positively absorb load transmitted to a panel bracket from the front side of a body without lowering the whole rigidity of the pedal bracket.

CONSTITUTION: The rear end lower part of a cowl 16 is provided with an upper end supporting bracket serving as an extension member, and a protruding part 22 protruding in rectangular shape toward the rear part of a body is formed at the central part of the longitudinal wall part 20A of the upper end supporting bracket 20. The top face of the protruding part 22 is formed into a pedal bracket fitting part 22A, and a through hole 24 is bored in the center part of this pedal bracket fitting part 22A. In the pedal bracket fitting part 22A of the protruding part 22, an extension part 28 uneven in ring shape in the body longitudinal direction is formed at the outer peripheral part of the through hole 24. This extension part 28 is extended toward the rear side of the body in the case of load of the specified value or more acting toward the rear side of the body.
